Our Mission: As a unified body with Christ-like qualities, we build a connectional bond that demonstrates pride through education, communication and mission work. We provide youth training programs in all areas of church life.

Colors: Forest green and white
Ages: 2 to 17

            − Allen Stars, ages 7 to 12
            − Young People Auxiliary, ages 13 to 17

YPD meets every 3rd Saturday, 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Church School

Our mission: To teach, train, nurture, prepare and recruit adults and children in God's word for Christian service, emphasizing those Christian principles which are essential for effective Christian growth and participation.

Ages: 3 and up

            − The Good Samaritans, girls ages 6 to 8
            − Sons of Judah, boys ages 6 to 8
            − Daughters of Ruth, girls ages 9 to 12
            − Young Crusaders, boys ages 9 to 12
            − Allen Stars, girls ages 13 to 18
            − Sons of Allen, boys ages 13 to 18

Church School meets weekly on Sundays, 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Our mission: To produce or bring children closer to God, and to help children love the Lord with all their heart, soul and strength through instruction, games, music and arts and crafts. We intentionally seek community children not connected to the church.

Ages: 3 to 18
VBS meets the last week in June, Monday through Friday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Excelsiorette Choir

This is a youth choir of children and teens, ages 3 to 18 years old. Our repertoire includes praise songs, hymns, spirituals, and contemporary gospel adapted for young people.

The mission of the Excelsiorette Choir is to learn the Word of God through scriptually based songs and share them with the church, congregation, and the community; To spread the message that Jesus, the Christ lives and loves all of us. All Glory and praises are unto Him.

The Excelsiorette Choir ministers every 2nd Sunday in the worship service.
Rehearsal Schedule: Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., except for Saturday before 1st Sunday.

Angels of Praise

Our Mission: To build Christ-like loving individuals through the ministry of dance.

Ages: 6 to 19

Angels of Praise ministers every 3rd Sunday in the worship service.

Rehearsal Schedule: Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Prayer in Motion Mime Ministry

Our Mission: To glorify God through our expressions in movement. We embrace the opportunity to dramatize our love for Jesus as we learn more about Him. We silently act out the message - the word of God, to help the congregation reach a higher spiritual realm in their worship experience.

Ages: 5 and up.

Prayer in Motion ministers every 2nd Sunday in the worship service.

Rehearsal Schedule: Fridays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Youth Drama Ministry

Our vision is to present challenging and relevant messages to:

Help us better understand ourselves and our relationships with others
Help our generation connect to and appreciate our history, and to
Exalt the name of Jesus.

Our plays and skits encourage people of all ages to commit their lives to Christ and point them to God's unconditional love.

Requirements:

Ages: 6 to 18.
Must be committed to studying and memorizing lines.
The Youth Drama Ministry meets on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturdays, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Junior Ushers

Our Mission: To greet those who enter the church with a smile and a warm welcome and direct them to comfortable seats. We are actively involved in the Junior and Young Adult Ushers Department of the Church Usher Association of Philadelphia.

Ages: 5 to 18 years
Uniform for girls: black skirts, white long sleeve blouses, black shoes and white gloves
Uniform for boys: black suits, white shirts, black ties, black shoes and white gloves.
The Junior Ushers serve every 4th Sunday in the worship service.
Meetings are held on the 4th Sunday after the morning worship service.
